I have 35" tires on stock dana 30 in the front and dana 35 in the back, wissemeier was going to change the gearing for free to 4.10 we were wondering if it will be to much on stock axles with 35" tires ?????

if an auto that would be the perfect gearing

the front 30 should hold up and the 35 might hold up
since its being done for free i would go ahead with it and then look for a replacement rear axle

Yes... On both front and back axle shafts. 456 gears would be what you want to run in my opinion. Unless you just want to drive it on the street...

manual transmission and i will be needing to drive it on the street so im thinking 410, i just dont want to snap an axle and want to know how well the stock will hold up

I think it depends on if you take it off road or not, and even how hard you drive it on the street...

I do plan on taking it off road....thats why im curious of to whether or not the stock axles will hold up or not...

the front d30 will be ok for a while, but if youre taking it offroad with 35s youre gonna wanna keep a close eye on the d35. asap i would replace it or at least upgrade it but that can be more expensive than replacing the whole thing anyway. either way your not exactly looking at a cheap solution.

just curious, are you the "guy with a tj on 35's" over at CAS that ive been hearing about from dan?

so im thinking 410, i just dont want to snap an axle and want to know how well the stock will hold up Gearing won't keep you from breaking an axle. On 35s its a matter of time before that Dana 35 explodes, whether you have a 3.07 ratio, or a 4.10.

Anyways, with 35s, I'd go 4.56 too, 4.10s were ok with my 33s, but with 36s they sort of suck.

thats what i hear and I do plan on changing the axles with in a year...its just a matter of money (im a poor, poor fella) and if something breaks before i can get to the axle and have to pour money into that before what i really want to put my money towards (axles)...you have a jeep you know how it works.

hell yeah, ill be there. my jeep is actually in the shop at sunfire but in maybe a day or 2 ill be ready to rip it up. hopefully we get lucky enough to get a relatively dry day, the last 3 times ive been to haspin its been almost impossible to go anywhere cuz it was tooo muddy. (if thats possible) itll be a fun time!
