so i just sold my WJ that i had as a daily driver...joining the round headlights guys...
just got an 2005 TJ...woohoo
first question...total newbie question, but it has been a while since i played with this stuff...
it has 15x7 wheels on it...can i mount 31x10.50 BFG All Terrain TA/KOs on those wheels? I can't remember (not find on google) what the max was for each wheel size...
next is a 2" lift and the tires...found 4 of those tires with 1000 miles on them for $400...not too shabby

Yeah, 31's will fit without any lift. I would recommend that you buy some wheels too. I think the 10.50 wide tires are a bit wide for the 7" wide wheels. You would also want the new wheels to have about 4.5" backspacing to keep the tires from rubbing at full turn. I ran 31x10.50 BFG Long Trail tires on my TJ for about two years before lifting it. I was using AR 767 15x8 wheels, with 4.5 backspacing. I had no problems, loved the way it looked, and performance was better too. With the added backspacing, the tires did stick out about 2" from the factory fender flares. It looked cool in my opinion. I know that it isn't legal in all states like that, but I was never bother about it.

7" wide wheels are good for 10.50 tires, but the backspacing may be a little too much and you may have a little rubbing on control arms and springs, but I would run it first and see for certain. At worst, add 1" spacers and you would be set. Get pics up when you can.

Kosta,
Those tires will fit fine. Stock they will stuff and rub slightly. With a BB they will stuff HARD and is a nice DD/wheeling combo.
I ran 32's stock for a few months until I did my lift. Talk about rubbin'.....
The only thing I don't like about the BB's is the rake front to back....to me it looks kinda funny. I ended up running a BB in the rear and 2.5" springs in the front.
Good Luck Man!

31x10.5s will run on stock rims and stock suspension just fine. If you can handle not being able to get a full turn lock to lock out of it.
If you want a full turning radius... Get some aftermarket rims. I got these cheapos for $25.00 a rim.
Here's a pic of my former 99 on stock suspension and aftermarket rims with 31x10.5x15 BFG AT KOs

okay....okay...i was busy on vacation and watching my Colts with the Super Bowl in Indy!!! amazing stuff...
first...i still have The Girlfriend...and she is coming back to life!...no name change
second...i will paint the bezels most likely...black...or a dark gray...chrome is ghey
third...thanks jafo and drew...i purchased the tires...they will go on this week...more pics will come shortly thereafter
finally....carmax has a bumper to bumper warranty....36,000 miles or 3 years...this would cover me up until 56,000 miles on the TJ since it already has 20,000 on it...
the kicker...$1200
think it is worth it...i opted out, but now i am rethinking....my opinion is that something dramatic would have to happen to it in those 3 years to get my moneys worth...i am putting AMSOIL in the engine, tranny, and tcase...not wheeling it at all...so what are the odds?!?! hmmm...opinions?

not wheeling it at all Are you feeling OK?
You sure you shouldn't have bought a real mall crawler like an Escalade or something?

Well, I wheeled my TJ when I first bought it for $15,000. It was my DD then and still is. I get the title in June and that will be nice. But, like most, I need a more comfortable, fuel efficient DD. So i will be looking for something later this summer, but I will keep the TJ. My choice of DD wouldn't have been a TJ though, since the gas mileage isn't all that great, even when stock.

its a great DD...who cares about gas mileage...its fun
I enjoyed my TJ as my DD. It was when I tried to make my DD my toy, I had nothing but problems with it.
Speaking of YJs... I found one today for $3500.00. Didn't stop to look or anything but, got the creative juices flowing. I doubt I'll buy another Jeep. But, my crystal ball has been broken for years. Who knows? I've had 5 Jeeps and none of them have EVER had square headlights. I just don't know what I'd do with myself. LMAO.

Nice purchase! If I'd have known you were shopping, I would have made you a hell of a deal on my 02, which already has a 2" BB, OME shocks and 31" ATs :D
Oh well, enjoy it! Looks great!

crap man....this sucks...should have posted i was looking first...oh well...what can ya do now!?
what BB did you use? where did you get the shocks? i will probably do the same thing...
how long do you think i can ride on the stock shocks with a 2" BB before trashing them...no offroad, just onroad...

It's cool. I wasn't advertising it as hard as I should be (sill for sale btw!).
I used a Rubicon Express BB kit AllMyNeeds had laying around in his garage, and it came w/ the OME shocks. You will be fine w/ the stockers, I just changed mine out b/c I had them.
