I'm not an avid collector, mainly just pick up cars I like. GMs aren't really something I collect, but I came by this today:

I thought I read about "RedLine" Hotwheels that were rarer than a regular hotwheels? The car above, says RedLine on the side of the package, has red lines on the tires, and has a red wheel emblem on the side of it. Its a 1968 Nova?

Is this something special or just another car?

I've heard that before too, but I've never seen one, probably since they're rare. So...I dont' know. I'd keep it

I believe it is the early edition red line's that are valueable. My buddy has most of the originals so I'll shoot him a note and ask and let you know.

my buddy says all early red line cars are extremely collectable and a good place to check market value is ebay. He also said to look for any pink red line cars. They were marketed toward girls and had low quantities made so they are more valueable. Newer red line's are no big deal now but in the future, who knows.

Hotwheels has started repops on their old redlines. on the bottom of the car will be the production date. you got one of the new redlines---someday it will be worth more. hang on to it.
