Hi,
How hard is it to replace a power window motor?
Is' it just a matter of getting the paneling off and then unplugging, unbolting, rebolting, replugging putting the paneling back on?
Any special tools needed?
This would be on a dokdge dakota by the way...
Thanks!
Patrick

I'm not sure on that, but I had to do it to a '94 Jimmy, and we had to drill out rivets holding the motor onto/into the door, then it was a BIG pain in the rear to manuever the thing out of the door. But like I said, I'm not sure about on that thing. Sorry.

if i had to replace a power window id cry
not to bad to do, some window regulators are rivited in, but most are bolt. Im not sure on your truck. I mostly work on overpriced cars. after the door panel comes off you will prob have two bolts holding the glass on to the reg. un bolt and push the window all the way to the top of the door(tape the glass to the top door frame(start on one side of glass loop over door frame and back on other side of glass)do it a few times) unplug the wire harness from the reg motor. then just unbolt or drill rivits and replace. the dodge shouldnt be to bad
On a WJ I can do them in less than 30 minutes. Of course I've had plenty of practice because I have done every one except the right rear....
