Any one else hear of this? Im on a vfd i can say that firefighters are a close family and i can only imangine loseing one of my friends . kindof surprised it wasnt already on here.

It is a very tragic and sad ordeal for sure. People who fight fires are a special breed. My heart goes out to the families of these brave people...sad indeed.

Yep, I live here and the mood around town is pretty grim. Today they were taken from the hospital they were at to whatever funeral homes their families have picked out. I stood next to the jeep at a light when they brought two of the firefighters through my community today. The PD had all intersections closed well in advance of the procession. Some folks didn't feel they needed to stop, the cops took care of them. My uncle and three cousins were firemen, all retired, so I can understand the pain the families are going through, they are a tight community. I did write to the county EOC, whom I already volunteer for for disaster response, to sit and answer phones for any of the firehouses who plan to shut down for funerals. The least I could do.
