I would think that they'd want to maybe put it somewhere that wouldn't show that it's leaking steering fluid.

Jeepsters were made in the late forties and early 50s by Willys Overland Company of Toledo Ohio . They are cool in my book. It does look like a leak however the steering box on a willys holds only a few onces of gear oil and is located on the frame behind the front tire.

That's kind of high. There's one for sale locally for $2,500

Those are sweet. I would love to have one, but Jason is right, guy is asking way too much for it.

A couple thousand or less is OK for a rough or unrestored Jeepster. A fully restored one can easily bring 10 to 15 thousand. One of the things I like is the embossed "WILLYS" in the rear bumper.

Here is a pic of my fathers 49 Jeepster. Been in the family since the fifties. Grandfather put a 56 Merc 312, 4spd in it around 1963. my pop burned the brakes up in1965 so it sat since. Hopefully this year I will finally have time to get it going again for him. Just build as a driver/ratrod.
