JK re-call

Just got a re-call for my 07 wrangler x. have to have the on board computer re-set. Seems that the computer was not programed correctly and that there was stalling problems. Mine stalled out 2 x since I got the jeep in Feb. Didn't think it was a big deal so never said anything to the dealer. Had a Toy 96 4x4 Taco did the same thing. Happened when I ran a/c in the heat so I just thought it was no biggy. Would stall on take off just twice. Btw I have a a/t trany .

yup.
i had the recall performed.. catch for me was that the recall covers JKs built up to Jan 22.... mine has a build date of Jan 23rd.

go figure. my dealer flashed the computer for me under warranty. ;) no stalls since, but the BAS light lit up for two days. guess what. it was a saturday and a sunday. by monday it had reset. :rolleyes:

I'v got my JK in June. I've put under 3k on this baby.
However I'v noticed sometimes when I start it with the AC on it makes a wierd crank noise.
Has any one had this noise or am I hearing things?

I just brought home a new JK last Saturday.
It only has 165 miles on it. Everything's fine so far, but I know it's way to early to tell.
Not sure of the build date.
Is it just auto trans ? Mine's a standard.

no, it was all JKs before 1-22-07.
for an idea of your build date, check the data plate... it'll give you the month, but not the day.

about the ac wind sound mine does it to i have 7000 miles on it and it has ice cold ac every time so i havent worried about it

Mine was built in June of this year. I think i"m good to go on just about everything...except it doesnt recognize that the drivers side door is open or closed...need to get it to the dealer for that. I've tried unplugging and replugging in the connections for the door...no luck.

i get that ac noise too sometimes... doesnt seem like its everytime. But like someone else said AC works great so i have not been real concerned.
