Help! I've just purchased a 2007, 2 door, Wrangler. Page 89 of the owner's manual says:"Push the lever on the seat back rearward to TILT the ENTIRE seat forward."

I get no TILT, like my CJ7 used to have.

Am I missing something? Rear seat entry is really tough.

i'd look at the seat, and you may even try giving the seat a few hard tuggs while pushing on the lever.

it may seem odd, but there are a few things on the last couple of new vehicles i bought that needed some "encouragement" to function. the adjustments on my drivers seat are like that as well...

I don't know about the 4DR, but the 2DR seats don't tilt. The seat back tilts forward to lay against the bottom (sort of), but the seat itself does not tilt like they did in the CJ.

I usually have the rear seat out, but if I have passengers and put it in, everyone finds it easier to climb over the side/back to get in.

Thanks for all who replied. With regards to the passenter side front seat lever that allows easy entry to the rear seat, I get identical "forward back rest tilts" from both the drivers's side and the passenter side. The driver's side limits out on the steering wheel, but the passenger side still has 6 more inches to go before it limits out on the dash.
This six inches will make a big difference aiding a passenger when entering the rear seat. Is my JK like yours? Are both driver and passenger seat forward tilts identical?
