jk freedom top

Hi all have just got a new jk with freedom hard top, have seen on net that the front roof tops leak living in the uk this could be a problem. Has this been sorted by factory or is there a mod that can be done

when I first got my JK it leaked. was all kinds of aggravated. took it in they removed a few foam inserts around the top and all was fixed. The only other time is sometimes if you dont seat the roof tops just so they might seep a lil bit. all I did last time it happened was loosen them up shift em around & put em back together. all fixed.hth

mine leaked one time, and after taking it off and looking at it, i decided i didnt have it seated on there just perfectly. most of the foam on mine seems to have worn off rather quickly, so not sure if that helps or not.

not for certain on UK shipments, but for most of us State-side, the freedom top was sorted out around january. there was a TSB out that addressed it, which is what fishnutz likely had done. mine leaked twice, and i removed and reseated the front panels. no leaks since.

i think you should be fine.

Thanks for the replies should find out soon about tops as weather forcast is looking dodgy for this week. Well pleased with jk only gripe is in rear wheel arches the sills end with sqare edge near tyres.

Hi new here, mine leaked, leaked on dash. took panels off couple of times seems to have stopped. Wish they had made it in one piece myself.

Just make sure you put the tops on the way the owners manual says. If not, there is a good chance of pinching the gasket and it leaking.

I have the dual top option so my hard top was only on for a week when I bought it. However, I never had any water leaks but did have whistling around the front panels. only messed with them 2-3 times before taking the whole thing off. Will be putting it back on in the next week or so. hopefully no leaks or wind noise! On my past Jeeps, it seems I always had weird whistles but no leaks. Got lucky.
