JK Throttle Body

Anyone have any guidance on how to get a bit more response from the throttle body control on the JK? I have a spacer, filter ,chip and catback from Gibson, but none seem to have improved the off-throttle response time. I use the car a lot in sand and need engine braking which is a bit slow to respond with the standard setup.

I'm told this is because the throttle is operated through the computer rather than a cable. What alternatives do I have? Thanks
