after market wheels and tires

Aloha, i am looking for after market wheels and tires for my 07 wrangler x...i am looking at american racing chambers (diamond cut), but do not know what size rim and wheel to get to go with my stock suspension...any ideas would help...btw-i do a little 4 wheeling in hawaii, mostly surface street driving and some sand...thanks...

welcome to the forum.

if your JK is stock, 32"-33" tires are about the largest you can really expect to fit on it with little or no trouble.

the Rubicon works out to roughly a 32-10.50 (or 11.50) on a 17" rim. I'd suggest your rim diameter stay 16" or larger due to the brakes. some people have had 15s fit, but its very very close...

most aftermarket wheels are going to run around a 4" backspace. this is usually fine for most 33" tires. watch for rubbing issues the first couple of times you use em offroad.

about recalls...
there have been a few, but it depends on the build date. if it is an '07 prior to February of 2007, then yea... there were a few.

thanks b1pig...i appreciate the help...i dont want to go to large, so i will probably go to a 16x8 or 17x8 rim...and maybe the 32-10.50 or 11.50 tire...

any other suggestions to "personalize" my jk would be great...

i could come up with a ton of options to "personaliize" your rig... but there would be some question of where to start.

i'm a sucker for Rubicon wheels (since i own one)... and there are always a few sets for sale somehwhere... and usually with the Rubicon BFG M/Ts.... which are roughly 32-10.50-17s

something to think of.
while i havent seen one yet, i bet a 2" b/b and some 33-14-16 Swampers would look badass on a JK. :D

ok here goes...i have decided not to put a lift on the 07 wrangler as of yet, so i am going with a lt265/75r/16 tire on a 16x8 rim, which comes out to be about a 31.6 inch tire...

anyone see any issues with rubbing with this size tire...

any suggestions on the ride, look, feel, etc...

well, we decided on the rubicon wheels and tires...the had 300 miles on them for $1180...all five wheels and tires and shipping...waiting on them to get here so i can put them on...they should look SWEEEET!
