So I think this is my first post on this forum.
I recently got an 07 JK X (2 door) w/ a hard top, and I have stock everything, no options except the package that comes with A/C and the center console, (i think).
I've had wild dreams about my car, but now I've come to the realization that I don't have that kind of money. hehe.
I'm thinking of putting
(http://www.quadratec.com/products/92608_00X_PG.htm) 33 Inch Tires on the stock 16 inch rims, and (if its needed (http://www.quadratec.com/products/92807_200.htm)
wheel spacers and later replacing the stock wheels with (http://www.quadratec.com/products/92601_4XX_A_PG.htm) these
Also, I'm thinking of putting on some (preferably waterproof) seat covers on my seats, and putting bedliner everywhere where there is carpet now, and on the rails that the top mounts on. I was also wondering if yall think putting bedliner on the fender flares and bumpers is a good idea.
One last question - When i do get a small lift (2 or 3 inches) later, what would be the most affordable, complete, and later, expandable solution. (no body lifts, please)
I think thats everything for now.

Welcome to the board!
Congrats on the new JK!
(Just a hint) Don't be calling it a "car" on this here board, these fellers are a bit touchy 'bout that!
;) tongue.gif ;)
The JK forum has some really great guys in it, and they'll be glad to give you their advice, so even though I can't advise you on your lift questions, (I have YJ's) pretty soon you'll get some good input.
This is a really great board, stick around, I think you'll like it here.

welcome to the forum!
i think you are on the right track so far.
there is one issue with the bedliner, though. i pulled the carpet out of the right font floor to drain it once. there is seam sealer that leaves beads anywhere up to about 1.5" think. Lining it would not be the first option unless you were going to strip the entire tub to bare metal, i think.

I was kind of hoping that it would be possible to Line-x everything (including some of those plastic panels that scratch so easily) and then keep carpets in there sometimes, but take them out other times.
Are you saying that wouldn't work?

Are you saying that wouldn't work?I think he's just saying you would have weird bumps in the liner, as there are seams that have seam sealer between panels. It just wouldn't be nice and smooth.

Well, to hijack my own thread, I have one other question.
Would those let me mount larger tires? If I had those on my stock JK, using the above plans, would i be able to mount 34"s or maybe 35"s ?

Wow. Um. Yet ANOTHER question.
[hehe, bet this is getting aggravating.]
As far as performance things go, I was thinking of getting the following...
1 http://www.quadratec.com/products/17008_105_07.htm
2 http://www.quadratec.com/products/17608_100.htm or http://www.quadratec.com/products/17608_200.htm
3 http://www.quadratec.com/products/17606_0102_07.htm
What else would be needed for the "Stage 2" chip? (Links would be greatly appreciated)
Also, what do ya'll think of what I've picked out?
(as you must be able to already tell, ALL my money is going to go into this jeep.)

intake and exhaust mods... good stuff.
i'm reluctant to say "go" on the stage2 chip. i had one on my ZJ with intake, header and cat-back mods... with bad luck.
i have heard others have no trouble....
i have the K&N and plan on the same stage1 and gibson dual.

oh, about the liner.....
ever draw a bead of caulk on a joint somewhere? around a window or tub or anything? imagine the bead built up and not wiped down into the joint... only real thick... thats what i'm getting at.
with the heritage of the CJs, YJ and TJ floors, to see that on the JK surprised me

Oh! Okay, now I understand about the bead
Darn. So I guess theres not much to do about that, eh?
-- And thanks for the info on the chip.

Hey and welcome to the site! I'm pretty new here myself, I just had my Banks headers, exhaust and Stage 2 chip installed a couple weeks ago and the sound is getting better for the exhaust. Some German performance shop installed the stuff for 200 Euro's, not bad for about 4-5hrs of work!!! I had some surgery so haven't been able to drive it much though since then been bout 2wks, the installer said to watch the heat from the headers since they didn't have a heat shield, I know on this site under the parts it says "heat shield" is included but from what I've monitored they've been fine. I called Banks company and they said the headers do not come w/a heat shield and one is not needed but no wires or hoses are touching them, and the temp. on the headers seems normal to me I think the Germans are just a little freaky when it comes to that stuff I think. Those Gibson dual's are not a "system", just the muffler thats one reason I didn't get them and I had them on a V-8 truck and they sounded like crap personally! Good luck w/your project man!
