My 2008 Jeep didn't come with a receiver, so I puchased one from Quadratec. I had put a hitch on my "04 Jeep that was a lot larger. This seems kind of small. Has anyone put one on their Jeep yet? I am just amazed that it could be rated for 3500 pounds and be this size.

welcome to the forum.
mine came on the JK.
it mounts to the rear crossmember. unlike previous models, the crossmember is fully boxed and not a C-channel... so it is stronger.
i have read that the bolts can be a booger to get started. just make sure you leave em loose till you get a couple spins on the threads.

I put one on my 08 Wrangler before my transmission problems and it was simple. The directions say that it may have to drop the muffler if there is not enough room but I did not have to.
Also the trailer wires were simple also. Just remove the drivers side taillight unplud the harness and add the wire in and fish the wires to the hitch.
Both took about 25 minutes to install.
