Lori made me promise to wait one year before doing "anything" to the JK. which means anything "big".
February 17 was the purchase date... so I waited long enough. smile.gif
I really didnt take a "before shot", so... here is the closest thing to it.

I installed a Black Diamond 2" Budget Boost. No shocks. I reused the stock shocks. I also installed Poly Performance rear shock brackets. They are really decent peices. I'm happy with it.

Doing the lift on this one was almost the same as the lifts I've done on previous Jeeps. The only exception was that I had to disconnect the parking brake cables and unbolt the rear brake lines for the install. Once theinstall was done, I straightened out the rear metal lines off the frame, then added my own bend in them. With the PP shock brackets, it allowed the axle to drop out nearly 2" farther. you could play a song on the brake lines. :D
Anyway... I decided to cut the plastic covers off of the shocks. I've never cared for boots much, and even less for the plastic covers. Now I'm ready for the winch, wheel spacers and Jet chip. Not sure what to get first, though.
