Lost: Season Finale Thoughts - WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Well, what did you think?

Overall, it wasn't the worst finale ever. It was a relatively clean break(for Lost, anyway), but left me with alot of questions. Here are a few of mine.

1. Did Jin really die?
2. Why did Jack's Father tell Michael " You can go now"? Is Micheal dead or not?
3. Who the heck is Jacob and why is Jack's Father his messenger?
4. How did Penny get there so fast? It was only a day or less oga(I think) that Desmond talked to her!
5. Why does Sun want to talk to Charles Widmier?
6. Why doesn't Claire want her child brought back? She was happy enough to stay!
7. Why can't Ben go back to the Island? Or can he now that Locke, the new leader, is dead?
8. Was Locke a casualty of the "dangerous" moving of the island? Will he come back to life(pretty sure he will)?
9. What happened to the people on the Zodiac? Did they get "transfered" with the island?
10. Does "everybody" who has to go back include **** and Claire's child?


I have more, but those are the ones I could think of right now.

Funny thing. 2 Weeks ago, I was joking with a buddy of mine who hadn't seen the last one yet, but I had. I pretended to tell him spoilers about it and said, oh yeah, Locke dies in it. Now he is gonna be like, how did you know?

1. I think so....they made it pretty apperant in a previous flash forward when Sun gives birth that he's dead

2. got no clue.....but remember the guy on the mainland said he couldn't die....even tried to kill himself....which makes me think that Jin is alive and remains on the island but the Oceanic 6 don't know it.

4. I think her boat was already out there looking for Desmond when Charlie talked to her and she flew out after Desmond called her.

6. She probably thinks or knows that "the others" want the baby and she won't get him back.

7. Don't know....I wanna know how he got off in the first place

8. The flash forward when Locke dies is 3 years after the island is moved....again I wanna know how he got off the island.

IIRC, wasn't he running around with a huge Panda bear when Sun was giving birth? It was several episodes ago, but I thought I remember that which is why I am thinking he is alive.

I assumed Ben left the island when he "moved" it. Remember a few episodes ago when he dropped out of the sky in the desert? He had the same parka on as when he moved the island. Maybe Locke moved it again and he died in the process?

well due to issues with Comcast and my DVR, i finally watched the first hour of thursdays 2 hr finale. here are my responses.

1. Did Jin really die? We dont know for sure at this time, but I think it is likely that he is. Remember, he did bad things for Mr Paik and like Ecko, the island probably let him die.
2. Why did Jack's Father tell Michael " You can go now"? Is Micheal dead or not? Michael is dead. that was what he was trying to do anyway (kill himself).. and that is why he was put on the boat - to do the job for ben and then he could kill himself (or get blown to bits :) )
3. Who the heck is Jacob and why is Jack's Father his messenger? I think that Jacob is the black rock first mate dude from waaay back when. I also think that Richard is one of the guys that were on the black rock. it is one of thier journals that was auctioned in one of the episodes
4. How did Penny get there so fast? It was only a day or less oga(I think) that Desmond talked to her! Penny has had her crew looking for Des and they probably were always in or around the right area, just not the right bearing. Anyway, when des called her, she could have gotten a ride to her boat via Helicoptor.
5. Why does Sun want to talk to Charles Widmier? i think that he is the other man that she blames for Jin's death
6. Why doesn't Claire want her child brought back? She was happy enough to stay! I am still sticking with it, but Claire is dead. she was killed when she was blown up in Otherville. however, the island manifested itself so that she was alive to make sure that aaron got where he needed to be. Remember the psycic dude staring at her and the baby (maybe because he saw a dead person holding a live baby). also he saw her walk away and didnt yell about it because maybe sawyer would not have seen her anyway.
7. Why can't Ben go back to the Island? Or can he now that Locke, the new leader, is dead? i think ben can and does go back to the island. i think he is off the island now because he doesnt feel wanted and also wants to pay widmore back for killing his daughter.
8. Was Locke a casualty of the "dangerous" moving of the island? Will he come back to life(pretty sure he will)? i think that Locke doesnt turn out to be who everyone hoped that he would be.
9. What happened to the people on the Zodiac? Did they get "transfered" with the island? dont know for sure, but i think they were still within the area where they can still see the island.
10. Does "everybody" who has to go back include **** and Claire's child? W A L T was always special, so probably. According to what Ben said to Jack, then yes all of the O6 must go back, plus John, and probably plus ben and ****.

1. IMO No, because Ben mentioned it was about time and space. Jin DID die, but they will make it so Jin comes back (I hope!)
2. Jack's father is a manifestation of the island, and told Michael that he could go because he has fulfilled him redeeming himself after shooting AnaLucia and Libby and turning in Jack, Kate and Sawyer.
3. Jacob IMO is the island, the main manifestation of him.
4. Penny has been looking for Desmond all this time, she's FILTHY rich, and as soon as she got the signal from the island she's had people out looking for him.
5. I have no idea, but she is kicking ass IMO. Perhaps she wants to find the island badly and thinks Widmore has the means to find it again?
6. She's afraid her child will die? Perhaps she has an idea of what is planned for him but somehow cannot say?
7. IMO people who are "dead" in this show have many ways of coming back, especially with it being about time and space. Dunno why Ben said he can't go back except for him saying "those who move the island can't go back".
8. I don't think so, we'll see. And maybe.
9. Hmmm.
10. Ben said everyone has to go back who has left the island.

I loved this finale, and can't wait till the other two seasons.
