Yeah we're looking at buying a dixie chopper. $5k. 60" deck, 27hp motor, only thing is the dealer says it will only cut 2.5 acres per hour. Maybe my math is off...

Jason, look into an Exmark, Scagg, Kees, or Kubota. Nothing wrong with Dixie Choppers, but (if you haven't already) shop around, there are other very good mowers out there.

yeah thats prolly the iron eagle your're lookin at
iron eagle (homeowner) > silver eagle (commericial) > classic (industrial the one we own) then it goes to like Xtreme and Xcaliber but those really arnt anything better than the classic, just more expensive parts
and yeah i shopped around for a WHILE and dixie chopper was definatly better than all the other ones, including dixon, grasshopper, exmark etc

the tower? thats a verizon cell phone tower which is nice because we all have verizon :D
but it gets better.......
verizon pays us $600 a month to have that tower there and it goes up $200 every 2 years, and after like 15 more years when the contract runs out, that tower is OUR tower and we can lease it out or start our own TV channel

So after 15 years you will be getting $24000/year to have the tower in your yard? Hmmm...

A lot of farmers get paid handsomely to have cell phone antennas on their silos. Churches in their steeples. Etc.

Am i the only one confused?... by his math symbols he says the Iron Eagle (Homeowner) is the best out of all of the mowers in his list there. And he says that J crawford must be talkin about this model when he states the 2.5 acres per hour... so by his statement dixie choppers max cutting capacity is 2.5 acres an hr? maybe another year of high school math and you could learn how them there math symbols work... just goes along with the thread on here a couple days ago about the education system

No, you're not the only one that was thrown off by that. At first I thought of it the way you did but then I took the greater than symbol to be a step in a ladder or chain instead of thinking of it strictly as a greater than symbol. For instance, Step One > Step Two > Step Three....

The only problem with cell phone towers is that not only is it your tower after the contract runs out, it's your problem! You'll eventually have to pay someone to remove it and that aint cheap. We get a couple calls a year about these towers with expired contracts on some farmers land. County says they gotta go and the farmer didn't realize it was his responsibility to remove it.

Not picking on you man, Dixie choppers are very good mowers, but I promise you the hands down best cutting, highest quality, most effecient and comfortable mower on the market today is a Kubota.
Ford invented the first mass production car, but I will take a BMW or Lexus over a Ford anyday.

Kubota's are made in Gainsville Ga.
I don't know about calling a $15,000 mower value???
Any way, I've got a question man, do those tires not tear up your grass, because I would think they would destroy our bermuda sod here in this part of the country.
