Any ideas on how to reduce the rear door from rattling so much?

The tailgate on a TJ? What kind of shape are the hinges in?

yeah a tj, the hinges are in good shape but it seems to rattle alot and combined with my subwoofers it gets even worse. I was going to mount a rod to my swing away tire carrier that pushes the door tight but before I attempt that I was hoping someone has a quick trick.

I just give mine a good solid slam shutting it after making sure there is nothing in the way.

Are your subs facing the seat or rear door? If door, turn them around, it helps, alot. Also, invest in Dynomat. Also helps alot, assuming that you don't have the interior sprayed.
In truth though...that's what you get for having 3 subs back there. A good bit of the rattle is coming from inside the door itself.
