I voted early today and there was still a line!!! Early voting started yesterday in my neck of the woods. Needless to say, I did not vote for Hussein Yomama.

I am registered to get a mail in ballot. Because of the issues with the mail service in the past few elections, I take my ballot to the local county clerk's office.

I don't understand the early voter thing... seems like much more chance for fraud. I thought election day was Nov 4th. Why cant that still just be the day we vote?

Im thinking the same; like dead people voting!! and what happens if somebody votes today(early vote) and dies tomorrow, well before the actual election day??

Because I have to work for a living, and the bills don't stop coming in just because it is election day. I can't afford to take off all day to stand in a line that moves slower than the ones a Disney Land just so that we can send another group of worthless politicians to D.C.
When they can come up with a more streamlined process or more polling places, then I would wait. I, however, am holding my absentee ballot right now.
Absentee voting is the ****. You can take your time, do some research (or let your SO tell you who to vote for), vote for who you like, and mail it in, all in the comfort of your own home. No lines, no hassles, and no old idiots working the polls who couldn't find there ass with both hands let alone your name on a list.

Absentee ballot for me. I even drank a beer and voted at the same time :)

I cant "carry" at a polling place, but if I vote at home, problem solved

No different than if they voted in the morning and then died before the polls closed in the same day. I remember that Ross Perot suggested changing voting from Tuesday to Saturday.
You can take your time, do some research...
The major reason why I prefer a home delivered ballot. Prior, there were issues and people I did not know I was voting for/against/abstaining until I was in the booth.

The same reason why I prefer not to access to work e-mail from home (Alcohol + Voting ≠ confidence of sound judgment). (However, such access would of come in handy after I got laid off....;))

Doc's prepared. With those beer drinking voters out there, you never know how fast the change will come.:p (just messin' with ya, LB ;))

In Oregon it is all vote by mail for every one. I got my ballot last Friday and voted and mailed it off today. You don't have to mail it though if you are not comfortable with that you can drop it off on election day.
