welp. our 4th 2-up ride on the bike.... and we got wet. ran into the rain unexpectedly.......
lori didnt even fuss. kinda aggrivated me, though. she had the audacity to tap me on the shoulder and ask me if i was scared to speed up. we were doing about 50. after we got home i took the time to remind her that she was wearing a full face helmet and i was wearing an "open" helmet... sorta.. its the dirt helmet i have for my ATV..... at least i went got my goggles from the fire dpt before we ventured out.... and got our jackets.
:D:D

last time my wife and I got caught in the rain, without our RAINGEAR, she buried her face in my back and was LAFF'n! There I was, up front, enduring the sting. I pulled over, whipped out my handy dandy bandana, folded it in half diagonaly, wrapped it around my face looking like Jessie James (the bank robber, not the modern day thug who build bikes) about ready to rob the train..put on my goggles and then we continued on our way home. What a BLAST! (the first few minutes of rain are the most dangerous, and stay off the painted lines!)

yeah..forgot abt those..I dont ride in town and where I do ride, they are none to worry abt..abt all we have out here would be cattle gaurds but those lead to a dirt road or a pasture and the Harley don't do either of those.

i wouldnt mind having a dual sport myself. too often, i found them to be poor substitutes for either. only a handful were ever really capable. i like the Kawasaki 250's for that reason. they are not overburdened much. :)
i think the only Harley i could own would be a Night Rod. I just dont have $20g laying around for it. i'll eventually rebuild the carbs, rebuild the forks and then get a Sargent seat made.. and some bags. then go for a weekend ride with the wife early next summer. at least, thats what i'm shooting for. who knows. by then, she might have her license and i might be riding a moped or something.
