well, for those who dont know, it was filmed on Banks Lake, which is a part of the Grand Bay WMA here is south GA... and 10 minutes from the house... or less. depends on who drives.

Lori and i had been talking about going out there. i'm working a split shift, so i had a 5 hour down time.... came home to find the wife, Jeep, kids, trailer and both kayaks gone. (thought my life was over for a minute there) anyway, Lori had snuck out to the lake and told me to hop on the Honda and haul butt out there and fish/paddle with her for a while. :D

so.
had a good time. i grew up down here, and thats the first time i've ever been out on Banks Lake. :)

I love fishing off kayaks. I have caught some nice bass using mine. I also like using my canoe. Sometimes its just fun trying to get to the launch!

I could NEVER fish off a kayak. I can't seem to keep mine upright. Damn shark bit my foot last time I fell in the ocean off my kayak. Luckily... was a small shark. After that, I got blood in the water, larger sharks showed up. I didn't fall in again...

For the record... also been bitten by a dolphin in Mexico. I guess sea life hates me. LMAO!!!

I used to run some whitewater, but I don't think I would be too big on fishing off one, love to paddle though.

its all good. i'm gonna look for some accessory kids for our kayaks. there are no hatches and no tiedowns on them other than the paddle bungie. plus the "cockpit" is kinda small. i have a teensie little tacklebox. i have to just about lift one leg out to get it out of the boat. :D

i have nowhere to stash a cooler. :p

get a BIGGER kayak?? That yeller one I am in is a 14 ft'r and has a capacity of 400lbs...but then I have 11 of em and I can take my pick depending on my mood and gear taken for the day :p

speaking of coolers:hijack: I found at walmart the soft case coolers that have a velcro top, no zippers, and you can pack a nice small snack/lunch and stuff it in the aft of your boat..check em out!

i think i saw the one youre talkin about. we have a collapsible cooler bag around here somewhere.... there is some room behind the seat to stash things. the only bad thing is that the only way to get it in or out is what you are not IN the kayak.... that and the two have different seats. mine is smaller and folds nearly flat and i can get a stuffed 10l bag in and out with no difficulties. A 15 or 20l would probably fit in mine ok, but Lori's would be a pain because of the seat.

i actually wouldnt mind having a pair of longer boats for us.... i have spied some really nice "fishing" kayaks with LOTS of storage. my problem is that i am partial to the sit-ins. you stay drier i think.
