the prices seem pretty good given the specs. theres a demo vid on the LP-50 page. interesting.... apparently same vid on all pages.... and they let you make an offer.... hmmmm....
the only thing they require is an outside air source.

A few years ago I was considering getting one of these chinkmo plasma/welder combo units, there are a bunch of different names on em. Longevity, Parker, Riland, Giant, etc. Parker got a retail spot on PBB, huge thread full of happy customers, few issues which they took care of, then they went and followed the route that a bunch of the sellers have taken, get your money and disapear.
Right now Longevity seems to be the cream of the crop, their rep over on PBB has helped out a few folks who were screwed by other vendors and seems to be doing a great job. That said, I'm still leary of dropping dime and having it last just long enough for a company to change names or go under.
I never did find a pro review, someone who spends every day in a shop cutting and welding, all the reviews were either from the seller, or a hobbiest who had little to no experience with plasma or tig work.
Think I'm going to stick with the known qualities, miller, lincoln, or hobart, and this is coming from someone on a fairly tight budget for tools. I'd rather wait and save some more then get screwed in the long run.
Just my $.02.

I've had my parker for some time now and I'm still happy with it. Granted I'm not in the shop with it EVERY DAY, but I'm pretty sure you're not gonna be either.
I'd like to upgrade mine to one with a built in TIG. Maybe we could work something out?

hmmm...
yea. we may be able to some time after the first of the year. i have several things i'd like to screw around with, but i dont want to butch it with a Ox/Ac torch. i just saw some fab work another Jeeper did with a Mopar winch bumper and I am frothing at the mouth now. :D
