Okay so I recently enquired about a posting about a Dana axle (posted by the wife, husband is at basic) saying it is a Dana axle
I wrote her asking what kind of axle it was, front or rear, what info she knew about it, and so on, not really expecting much info but the price was cheap so I figured if it was a good in condition D44, D60 or HPd30 I'd pick it up and see what I can do to it (meanwhile my fingers are crossed for a rear D60 on the cheap)
She writes back, says it's a front axle and is a Dana 40??
I may just go take a look at it just to see what it is out of curiosity...

Hmmm, most likely a 44? If the price is good enough, Id go check it out anyways. If anything itd be a reason to get outta the house

haha true, I'm gonna give her a call tomorrow, she doesn't know what vehicle, year, or anything about it other than it is a "front dana 40"
So we'll see...

hopefully she won't have her cuz'n hiding in the bushes waiting to jump ya! for some reason, I just dont trust craigslist...not that it's a bad deal tho..I guess it's ok, but I dont trust it..

Eh ive met some weirdo's on there but ive actually made two pretty good friends off there...and NO NOT THAT KIND OF "FRIEND" but I sold some Jeep parts to a guy, bought from another, and i now go wheelin with both of em every chance i get.

Well it turns out it was an LPD30, no shafts or hubs, so my dreams of a front D44 for cheap are crushed, oh well I need a new rear axle more than a front one anyhow..but I hear stories all the time of people finding killer deals like that so gotta check everything out

After reading what she "thought" it was, I would have guessed D30 from the start. Granted.. everyone hopes for a better deal. I'm just not that optimistic about me finding that good of a deal. LOL!!!
