The researchers created the illusion of body-swapping by touching the stomach of both the mannequin and the volunteer with sticks. The person saw the mannequin's stomach being touched while feeling (but not seeing) a similar sensation on their own stomach. As a result, the person developed a strong belief that the mannequin's body was actually their own.

dude.. that experiment could go down the wrong road.. fast.. I'd have to have a lot of trust in someone before i'd let them mess with my sensory perception.

Hmmm...that's interesting, could you induce death by making someone's sensory perceptions feel like you really were dying?
Either way kinda creepy...

HA! I saw the opportunity, and I pownced on it like a fat woman on a piece of cake!

...But, seriously. Do these people not watch SciFi movies; i'm sure there will be a SMALL practical(good) use for this, but in the long run, the negatives that could possibly/probably come from this will outweigh any good to come....
