  • Severe shaking in front end

My 98 TJ experiences severe wobble in the front end when I hit a bump. It shakes violenty until I get it below 45mph. The jeep is stock and I checked the front end and found nothing loose. Any suggestions where to look?

How many miles are on it? It's called death wobble if you hit search and put that in there you'll turn up numerous pages on it
Could be a lot of things tie rod ends, track bar, alignment, control arms, imbalanced tires, ball joints...
If you can have someone turn the wheel while you check things out to see if anything is loose or wobbly.
98' TJ locked, lifted, winched, bed-lined, lighted, and dented

150,000 miles. I have checked for loose parts and found nothing. I am getting new tires and shocks next week. I will continue to investigate it. Thanks.
