I admit I do not know much abt the XJ thru ZJ units but I have a question..a friend just bought a sweet looking like 4x2 cherokee, 4.0...I think its a XJ but I am not sure..anyone have a clue? its a 1999 model.

That's an XJ Doc. 84-01 cherokees are XJs, earlier models are FSJs.

Well Bells, now I am really confused, I thought XJ"s were plain Cherokees 84 thru 01 and the WJ, WK, XK & ZJ's were variations of the Grand Cherokee's.

And the FSJ was the early full size Pick Ups.

Help.

ZJ: 93-98 GC
WJ: 99-04 GC
WK: 05-10 GC
WK2: 11+ GC
XJ: 84-01 Compact Cherokee & Wagoneer, 2&4 doors
