ARB solenoid replacement
Two ARB solenoid assemblies cost $100, plus shipping. Mac Valves, Inc. of Wixom, MI sells a similar assembly that will work just as well, and they go for only $17 each! The part number is 35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA. Mac Valves' southwest distributor; Fiero Fluid Power, Inc. of Arvada, CO. Their toll-free number is 1-800-638-0920. In addition to removing the "air in" and "air out" fittings from your ARB solenoid, you will also have to cut off the wiring harness connector and solder it to the Mac Valve wires (it doesn't matter which wire goes to which). You can purchase ($1) a little muffler for the release port to protect it from dirt...

Cool.
Thanks for the heads up. Wanted to get some "spares" for the box...I like spending $40 better than $100.....
Did a little websearch - found the Mac Valves site.
http://www.macvalves.com/
Thanks Knucklehead!

I also use them to tie the OBA into my ARB system:

Thanx and your welcome...

Just a heads up if your having trouble with the solenoid not engaging or disengaging try taking the solenoid apart. I have had a tiny pinhead sized rock put it out of commission twice now. Takes 2 seconds, unscrew plastic cap, 2 phillips screws, take out rock, reverse order, bam, done. HTH.

Add a hose to the exhaust port and have it point down to cure that...

Ill have to look into that....the port is threaded, was there something that was originall suppose to be there? Maybe Ill thread a slide whistle on there as to add cheeky highjinks when I turn the locker on and off.

Thanks for the info. My company uses MAC valves on everything here. I should be able to get a good deal.

if you don't have the ARB solenoid to begin with though are you out of luck as far as the air inlet/outlets and ARB wiring harness?
